Help Us Move In (HUMI)

A new partnership with Rebuilding Together North Central Florida allows us to renovate units for Family Promise to own and maintain as permanently affordable housing units.

We have purchased a four-plex of apartments and hope to renovate 5 more units in the coming year.

We need your help to support the cost of renovations, to create a lasting legacy of your support, donate today!

HUMI provides homeless prevention and move-in assistance program. The Homeless No More Grant provides one-time financial assistance to families who are facing eviction, or are already homeless.

Whenever possible, this program seeks to intervene before a family falls into the cycle of homelessness.

Local match from community sponsors is critical to this program. Please contact us if you can help leverage $8 for every $1 donated.

The average cost to help a family is just under $2,000. We have run out of funds for this critical program.

You can donate today to support preventing homelessness in the first place.

A skilled case manager assesses each family upon entrance into the program, determining those factors that contributed to the family homelessness. The Case Manager links families with services and resources and helps them find affordable housing.

The "Keys to Good Tenancy" program identifies the rights and responsibilities of being a good renter.

The "Connect to Work" supports our shelter participants by covering licensure and training costs necessary to increase employability and income potential.

Families who do not have their own vehicle are transported to work, school, or the Day Center each morning, then back to the congregation facility each evening.
